You meant GPh didn't ya??

Yep KG, that's what I meant. I always seem to type 'here' when I mean 'hear', or 'there' when I mean 'their'.

This just seems to be in keeping with my recent habits. That is why I am glad they turned off the edit notification. When I err, I almost always notice it after I have submitted.

Now if only iboats would fix this machine to return you to your submitted post once you hit the edit button.

1994 Four Winns, 3.0L, VP...28 gallon gas tank.

Kind of a strange question, but I'm curious as to how long I can expect to cruise around the lake if my boat is full up on gas when I start?

Is there a formula for hours per gallon? I realize that it depends on how many people in the boat/weight, how fast we're cruising around, etc. I'm just looking for a ballpark idea... 8 hours?, 10hrs? 12+hrs, etc.

Thanks

MB -- you already have the answer. If you can cruise at 3200 RPM and are using 7 gallons/hour, all you need to do is divide your fuel tank size by 7. That gives you the amount of time you can run at 3200 rpm.
