Re: obtaining a title
The boat is nothing to fancy, its a solid fiberglass hull no stringers or flooring, and I don't plan on keeping it, so I'm not worried about the transom, From what I can tell its solid, however I did not go over it that in depth. I just need to make room for my 76' galaxy tri-hull (time for a new deck) in the garage and I know it will probably be a pain to sell without a title. I checked into it a little more and apparently I have to go to the tax collectors office, and they make up the duplicate title paper work and mail it to the address last on file. If it comes back (which it obviously will i own the house now) then I go to court to dispute ownership and when the last owner doesn't show up in court, I win due to no contest, upon which the title is then awarded to me. I personally think that is way to much work to get a title for a boat that I not going to use, I might just cut it up and take it to the dump.
Thanks for you help guys, and thanks for the welcome. I'm sure I will be needing it again soon once the decking comes out of the galaxy.
