OEM Manual

Since mercury doesn't carry the manual for my motor any longer, I have been watching e-bay for one. My motor is a 1985 Mercury 90, I just found an OEM manual for a 1987 70-80-90 series, would this work well enough if I also bought a third-party manual?

What do you mean they don't have it? They still sell evey manual.
No, the newer manual won't work, that is for the 3 cyl. 90's your 85 should be a 6 cylinder.
The manual number is 90-86134--4
You can order it from your local Merc dealer or from the Mercury site at http://northamerica.mercurymarine.com/shoponline/
You will need your engine SN for the Merc site.

Thanks for the link, the one I went to originally was the parts express and it has the manual as no longer available. I've now got it on order. Thanks again!
