Oh, WOE!! Mouse elbow.

My right elbow has been sore as a boil since August. Thought it was "tennis" elbow caused by too much time with the weed whacker. Haven't touched that thing now in months, but still. . . .OWOWOWEE!!

Whined and sniveled enough at T'giving that my daughter the Physical Therapist checked it out and interviewed me about it.

Well, no wonder it still hurts, Dad. This one is caused by your 'puter mouse!!

Wear your arm band here instead of there and stop with the Tylenol. That will cause more problems than it will solve. If it gets intolerable, get off the 'puter and have a cup of coffee and aspirin. Get a new workstation that gives you more forearm support.

i have 2 mouse pads... 1 for me mouse and 1 i rest my elbow on.

Funny this was brought up. I now have an arm rest as well because I was getting sore on the mouse side arm. Better now but not perfect yet !!!!

JB get a taller desk chair that way your elbow will rest on the arm of the chair when you are mousing around

And a wireless optical mouse if you don't already have one. You don't have to move your arm as much with one.

Consider simply switching hands. I am a lefty, but have always used my mouse righty. After a wrist injury (unrelated), my wrist would hurt a lot while mousing, so I was forced to switch to my left hand. I have yet to switch back, as I find a lefty mouse much more condusive to using a keyboard. I can easily use a righty mouse when I use other peoples' Pcs, but when at home, it is lefty all the way. Logitech even makes a nice wireless contoured lefty mouse with all the usual gizmo buttons on it.

I've found that interspersing 12 oz curls while mousing does wonders for the advoidance of such misery and as well if not better than tylenol for pain management

i agree with the wireless optical mouse. you can get keyboard and mouse reasonably. get rid of the cords.

I am a lefty, and always used a right-handed mouse with my left hand...then I developed trouble with my shoulder....and using the mouse aggravated it real bad....so I just switched to using it right-handed, but with a twist....the mouse remains on the left side of the work-station, so my complete forearm rests across the desk.

My wife is also a lefty, so I can't moved the mouse pad across to the right.

Hayden (the kid) has learnt to use the mouse left-handed on this computer, and right-handed on his....meaning it is just a mechanical skill that takes a lot of practice. Mind you, he is probably a poor example as he is the only right-handed in the family and is a little mixed up.

Well, I do have a wireless mouse and the pad is level with the padded arm of my chair (where I rest my elbow). Still hurts anyway.

As I said, new workstation is on my Santa list.
