oil fill problem Yamaha 150HP 00, Z150TXRY

The small tank on the engine will not re-fill automatically. Level drops while running then the alarm goes off and engine RPM drops as is supposed to. Pump works manually so can re-fill the small tank. When i resume operation, the oil indicator light shows full but within a few minutes flashes as if the tank is empty, but, it is not empty. operation is normal except for the flashing low oil level indicator. We already changed the sender unit (the device in the top of the tank that senses oil level and should send a signal to re-fill the tank). It senses no oil because the alarm goes off but not low oil. Can anyone help with this problem???

ok, on the tach there are 3 bars or arrows,depends on model.
far right indicator shows system normal, center flashing shows remote tank low, far left flashing is engine tank low,audible alarm and RPM reduction .
which one is flashing?
if the center indicator is flashing your problem will be in the tank switch or wiring.
if the tank switch is open circuit the ECU prohibits automatic oil transfer but manual will work normally.
also if the filter at the remote tank is restricted its possible the engine can consume oil faster than it can transfer.
I always suggest testing the system before chunking parts, just seems to work better.
a quick check is always the way to go.
but tell us which indicator is flashing, low remote,center, or low engine, far left and an audible.
