Oil filter for 6.2 MPI?

Is there an automotive filter that is a direct replacement for the one on a 2006 mercruiser 6.2? I really dont feel like paying $15.95 for a filter at the merc dealer

Sure there is, check at the auto store you go to, they will have the number of there cheap filters.

Is this the one exception where the marine and automotive part is the same? is there anything special about a marine oil filter? other than the mercruiser emblem on it?
