Oil/Gas Mix for 1989 25hp 2 Stroke

Hello,

I was wondering if somone could tell me the correct oil/gas mix for a 1989 Evinrude model TE25ELCEB, I recently purchased this boat and want to make sure I get the mix correct before running it all day. Also, is there a difference in octane of gas, i.e., should I use a higher octane for better performance or does that not matter a great deal?

Fuel : Oil 50 PARTS 87 Octane fuel : 1 part TC-W3 outboard motor oil.

pardon my ignorance, but for example 6 gallons of gas would be 16oz of oil?

You got it --- 50 to 1
16 oz. of oil --- to 6 gallons of gas.
