oil/gas mix for a 9.9 yamy

Hello all i have a question!! I just buoght a used 9.9 yamy the mix says 100:1 is this to rich my old merc was only 25:1 if anyone knows please let me know???? thanx!!

Use 48:1, Dute. The 100:1 was an experiment that didn't pan out and Yamaha recinded it.

I just bought a new 15 ,and it calls for 100 to 1. That is 4 oz to 3 gal gas. It was broke in at 24 to 1. It runs so long on 3 gal. of gas, I will keep it at 50 to 1. Two year war.
