I've got a leak running down the lower unit. I traced it back up to the front of the motor. I pulled of the air box and there was some oil in the air ducts. Not sure what there called. Is this normal for a 2 stroke. How about it running to rich. The motor doesn't seem to be running any different.

its a yamaha 150 ox66 efi. Also there where equal amounts of oil in each air duct, maybe a 1/4 teaspoon. if that.

Re: oil leak

oil in the throttle shutters is rather normal on that engine.
what is the level in the engine oil tank?
it should not be higher than the full mark on the tank.

Re: oil leak

It's about half full.(the oil tank). what are the two hoses on the bottom of the air box do? I'm wondering if there is a small crack in the bottom of the box and the oil is leaking there. or in the oil line that passes under it.

Re: oil leak

the grey hose goes back to the intake to aid in drawing off and burning any spit back fuel/oil mix. happens on all 2 strokes.
the black hose is the air vent for the engine oil tank.
