While out trolling today my oil light started flashing on my 2006 Suzuki 175 4-stroke. When i turn the key to start it it beeps a few times and the light constantly flashes. When its running it just flashes, no beep. Has anybody else had this problem and if so is it major? The oil level is fine. Thanks!

how many hours are on it?
the factory stuff will alarm at maint intravels.
resetting the maint alarm should be in your owners manual, I cant remember the exact sequence but its very simple.
but most all the big DF motors have this feature.

What rodbolt said.

If I remember correctly the maintenance light can be reset by turning the key to on (do not start) and cycling the emergency kill switch three times. If that is not it exactly, it is fairly close. Nothing, of course, beats using your manual.

Mind you, this is NOT an acceptable substitute for performing the due maintenance.

The oil and lower unit fluid was all changed at the end of last season by the local marina. Is there any other things I should be looking at?
