Oil mix

Fellas,
are any of you using synthetic oils in your premix?
I've used it on my large scale r/c stuff with outstanding results.
Just wondering if you use it and what your opinions are either way.

What Chris said... + if it meets the engine manufacturers requirements, then it's ok.

with all the alcohol in the gas today you better be using synthetic oil or you'll be sorry

I have heard alot about the ethenol in the gas but I cant say I have ever heard anything about the oil mixed with it. Just looking to expand my knowlegde on the subject.

i'm running a '78 merc thunderbolt 700 that has never in its 32 years had a drop of synthetic oil in it and it runs like a top. i guess i've never bothered to look for this debate before so i was unaware that it falls into the category of something like "merc vs. rude" or "fiberglass vs. aluminum".
