Hi all, its been awhile since I've posted. Maybe someone can help.
I have a 2006 Mag 350 Serial 0W361889. I had a slight oil leak and had the engine serviced by the dealer. He said a sender near the front of the crank was leaking. He said he replaced a gasket. Didn't say he replaced the sender.
I went down to change the oil today and after about 10 minutes of running the engine noticed the oil pressure gauge was sub 0, like power was not applied to the gauge. I always had good oil pressure so I can't help but think a wire is disconnected or possibly the sender is bad. Especially since I ran the engine for about 10 minutes before I noticed 0 oil pressure and everything sounded fine. I found a sender near the front of the engine right next to the crank shaft, the wire was attached. Are there any other places I can look for a disconnected wire or do you think the sender is bad. I seriously doubt that the oil pressure is nonexistent after the minor repair the dealer did. What do you think?
