oil replacement

Hi,
I have a 25 HP 4 stroke - year 2000 Evinrude Outboard. The oil and filter was changed Nov 2009. I have only put approx 10 miles on the engine since then, the oil is still nice and clear.
Do I need to have the filter and oil changed again or can I wait until nexted fall ???

OK, it is going to be two years on that oil, this November. I would change it, if it were me. At least inspect the oil filter for rust. I have had them rust thru in less than 2 years in the salty environment.

its cheaper to change the oil and be safe than to buy a motor.

Agreed. Good oil and good fuel are the two cheapest things you can buy for any mtr.
