oil sending unit

i have a 89 chap villain 3 with a mercruiser 454mag that has blown up. i am replacing with another 454 that i have. all is done smoothly except the merc engine had 2 oil sending units and the new eng only has a place for one! what should i do with the extra wire!!! :confused:

What color is the wire?

Get a pipe nipple about an inch long and a "T" fitting. intall it in the oil port and install both senders, one on each side.
Problem solved, and you still keep all the orginal stuff.

Plumb them both is as suggested to stay OEM.

But, does one of the units have two terminals? If so it is probably the oil pressure safety switch for the electric fuel pump circuit. I am betting the wiring harness has two connectors that will want to go to that unit.
