That Naptha definitely has some cleaning ability. Working on trailer wheel bearings yesterday. I have a full gallon of Coleman Lantern fuel laying around. [100% NAPTHA] Poured a cup or so in a container. soaked the bearings for 10 min ,swirled em around a few times. Came out about spotless. The tiny bits of surface rust broke down so i was able to wipe the rust off with a paper towel, to show the etched metal below. New bearings going in. Then I put some in a little spray bottle and user it to clean up the backing plate , brake drums etc.. Proved to be an effective, inexpensive alternative to degreaser, brake cleaner etc... $8 a gallon...

The intentional omission of select parts of my post leads me to believe that you have no answer for those parts, so lets re0iterate. ...... ........ ......That's fine. However, "snake oil" refers to something that is totally worthless, not to something simply not proven. I would argue that Sea Foam IS proven at least in some regards. It is certainly proven itself to me.
Whatever dude. I have better things to do with my money and my time. Enjoy your Seafoam.

By the way, abreviating a long winded post, when quoting, especially when said post contains duplicate or useless extraneous info, is common forum courtesy. Just so you know.

funny that a stand-by generator sits for as long as the power is off....then starts up on its own.... no fogging, and no additives or stabil... yep... just ridiculous..lol..:p:rolleyes:

Its also funny that brand new mowers, that sit outside in the elements for sometimes better than a year before they sell at the hardware store, don't come with the cylinder's fogged.... more manufacturing blunders i suppose....

Seen a lot of 2-stroke stand-by generators with ball bearings on the crankshaft??

First of all you said:

Second, most stand by generators are propane or natural gas powered. If they use gasoline I would definitely stabilize the fuel.

sure dude.... you seem to have it all figured out.... I install the diesel powered generators just about every week for the tower sites we build.... If you would like I'll go take a picture of them sitting in our yard...outside... or another one I just unloaded yesterday in the warehouse....

We also install Natural gas and propane models.........guess what??? None of them require fogging either...

what's to change how the engine endures condensation from one model to the next???

While I'm no mechanical expert, I can reason with common sense just fine.
