I have a 1957 Evinrude Fastwin 18 (15020) and plan to anchor close to shore while camping. To avoid damage to my engine from wakes, is it ok to pull it out of the water and tilt it over and to the side for 8-10 hours?
It doesn't LOOK like it's good, and I know it doesn't have a multi-position carb and I don't want oil getting into places it shouldn't or flooding the engine, making it difficult to start.
Any thoughts?
