Old Mariner Outboard question

I recently purchased a Mariner 2 hp gas outboard that runs beautifully. I have the model numbers but do not know what year the motor is. The numbers are 2M 6A1 019240. If someone could identify this motor for me it would be greatly appreciated...RR

DG, Thank you, but this new number comes up as an electric motor. Maybe I gave the wrong numbers, I'll have to check today ...RR

According to my information, that serial number, 6A1 019240, should be a 1980 Mariner 2M model number 7002200. You might want to check your numbers again.<br /><br />Good luck!
