Ok here goes,I know you guys are real busy so heres the ?I want to swap a 1968 85 hp v4 that is currantly on my boat/with a 1957 35 big twin.
Heres the prob. the 85 is a long shaft and 35 is a short shaft i think.I measured from trans to
center prop and theres approx 3" differance.the big motor sat low in the water and seemed to heavy for boat(16').also a metal plate id like to lose.i think i can get everthing else to work
controls ,stering ect.But i was concerned the prop/water pump would not be low enough in the water. Any tips or input would be great
Usually iread proir posts and not bug you guys
but i just had to buy a 2000. mower so it does
not look like i will be getting new boat any time soon.plus my daughter is playing little leauge.so no time to boat but time to rebulid
and projects.Thanx alot this is the best boating site period. savyman
