I have an older, maybe 80's 15 horse Mariner that I thought was pretty noisy. So I opened it up and found that the top and middle crankshaft ball bearings are shot. It looks like the top and bottom bearings are available but not the the center bearing. Is this why they used to offer a crank assembly? Bad center bearing meant buying a new crank? Drawings that I have seen show the crank exploded but no part numbers for the components. It is a multi piece crank that apparently is pressed together. Can it be saved? I'm sure that the bearing number can be matched with a new one but my concern is whether or not the crank can be pressed apart to replace it. Anybody ever run into this? Thanks much for any help here.
