Isn't it marked? Otherwise, what is the model/year motor we are talking about. 20A is a common size, but make sure.

I believe its a 32 volt, 20 amp. fuse. I have changed to the small ATM fuses and a rubber holder, with no problems. Easier to find the fuses.

If you look at the metal ends, of fuse the size , is stamped into it.

That fuse holder will hold a longer fuse. It just won't snap all the way closed. I've used long fuses for ever with no problems

It is a five amp.

Radio Shack has them, along with John/Rude dealers.

True, you can put a longer fuse, in the holder, just don't put in anything over five amp.

They typically blow because of two things.

1. Someone put the battery terminal leads on backwards.

2. The negative battery lead has a poor connection where it meets the engine block.

Any auto parts store on any corner in any town has any fuse you want. No problem.

See your Bombardier dealer. Ask for 510884. FYI-it is a 20 amp fuse. About 55 cents.

20 amp sounds right i think 5 amp w/b too low, i will get one from the auto parts and in stall, i had the big connector diconnected and i was cleaning one of the pins with a screw driver and it sparked, dumb move! that is how i blew the fuse!

When you get it going. Check your alternator output. THat fuse is there to protect the rectifier. Many times a "spark" is enough to cook one.

The good news is they are not expensive, or hard to change.

Yes you can get the fuses , I just like the fact I can get the atm fuses at just about any gas station, convenience store, etc. etc. Also the ruber holder is more or less water tight . And since I use the atm fuses in my fuse panel for everything on my boat . I dont need two different type fuses. They are also relatively indestructible, unlike the glass ones. But, of course everyone has an opinion, thats just mine.

I see no issues, at all, with changing the fuse holder and type. That's a good idea.

Re: omc 110 engine fuse

DWJ, Thanks for the reply. The only reason I suggested , the change, is . Ive had problems , especially , in the older fuse panels , that take the glass fuses .

The clips that hold the fuses get weak , loose etc. Resulting in a poor connection.

But mainly , the availability of the glass type.

Much harder to find, when compared to the atm fuses.

If you're talking about a fuse that's 1/4" diameter x 5/8" long, that's a Buss brand "AGA" fuse. Napa has, or can get a them.
