Hello, the problem I am having is when I have been running at about 3500 to 4000 RPMS forlets, say15, to 20 minutesAnd, then I throttle down the motor idles at 1100 and I cant knock it down unless I open the cover and push down on the carbarator linkage. The carb. has been rebuiltthe, motor runs greatexcept, that it idles highsometimes() after a runShould. the throttle cable be adjusted or is the cable no good because it shrinks, expands. How do adjustb the throttle cable, or should I just replace. I have the Manuel. The motor shifts in and out of gear smoothly, when idle is correct. Thanks in advance, JD

Re: OMC 460 throttle cable adjustment

You probably just need to adjust the cable.
Remove the cable from the carb, then adjust the cable end so it puts a slight preload on the cable to the idle stop screw on the carb.
