Scott Danforth-- I am trying to get the correct shutters for this system. The information that I had when I ordered the ones that do not fit was that the 0765166 were a direct replacement for the OEM 3853864 but they do not fit . I am still waiting for Doug Russel boat parts to reply to why these will not fit.
As foolish as this may sound , to avoid more delay I am installing the engine while I work out the shutter problem and when I get some that fit I will take the turn backs loose and install the shutters.
I have asked others about grinding down the shutters that I have to make them fit . It would be significant amount that would most likely grind away most of the rubber coating . What would you suggest ?
