OMC 60hp, 3 cyl Service Bulletin

I did service bulletin number 2271, larger high speed jets, and retard max spark advance 2 degrees. Since completed I'm only getting 5100 RPM at WOT. I used to get 6000. <br /><br />Do you think the SB is responsible for the 900 RPM loss, or is there somthing else going on here?

The bulletin says 'most' motors will benefit by these changes.It is a bit vauge,but maybe your motor isn't one of the 'most' motors.If it ran better before .....<br /><br />DHP

What is the model number of your motor? That bulletin is not for every engine.<br /><br />What jets did your motor have, and what size did you install?<br /><br />What was the timing set at before you changed it?
