Hi all, I'am thinking about buying a boat that has the omc c drive 2.7 litre motor. The year of the motor is 1988. Is this an ok motor, or should I stay away from it?
I have a pair of 1987 1.6L SeaDrives and have had them for 10 years. So far I have had no problems with the SeaDrives. The V4 and V6 SeaDrives are the same for either powerhead. The powerheads are pretty much the same as the non SeaDrive motors.<br /><br />One thing - If you get it be sure you get the OMC Shop and parts manual specific for your motor. They will be vital should you ever have a problem.
