OMC COBRA 3.0 Prop question.

I understand everything about a prop and its job .

I just want to know if all props are interchangeable.

for example , would a quick silver for a mercruiser 1990 fit my 1992 OMC 3.0 ? same size but does it fit ?

No, tho the spline count is the same the length of the splines and their placement on the shaft is different.

Your local prop shop should be able to help your determine what you are looking for.

Ayuh,...

The Spline count,+ Diameter are the same,... It's the Depth of the splines that changes....

You can use on OMC splined prop on a Merc....
But,..
A Merc. prop will Not slide onto an OMC prop shaft...

The Merc prop as is will work on the 15 spline Merc and Yamaha shafts. If you shorten the spline length it'll also fit on an OMC 15 spline shaft.
