When I saw that one photo that shows the shiney shaft through the hole where the pin should be I couldn't believe it, Don hit it right on, I've heard of the pins shearing but not often and it's usually due to an oil pump lock-up, anyhow there's nothing special about the roll-pin just get the correct size at any parts place or hardware store.
