Can I take all my stuff off of my 1993 OMC Cobra Ford 5.0 l (302) and swap it over to a Ford Marine 5.8l (351W) long block? If so, any conversion issues? It looks like most of the parts have the same part numbers match up except the oil pan and coupler when I looked them up on Doug Russell Marine's website...

351W has 3" mains thats why the pan won't fit, the 5.0 intake won't fit either, the 351W is a wider block. I may be wrong on the intake but I'm 98% sure I'm not.

Yer not a70, the 351w has a taller deck height, making it wider at the top. The 302 and 351 basically share the same heads but the taller deck means the heads are further apart and that requires a wider intake mani. The higher/wider intake mani also requires a different distributor.

As for the FI components, I strongly doubt that you can switch them from a 302 to a 351. Marine FI's are mapped because of a lack of a O2 sensor. Therefore you would need to have a new program to run with a different engine. Also, the 351 might require different injectors as well.

You really need to talk to an expert about all this.
