I dunno everyone talks impellers but seems to forget thermostats.
The pressure placed upon an engine under load with a weak or faulty stat will cause an over heat. BUT not while IDLE.

ok so boat is back together and running great across the water... overheating issue is fixed , ( filling the pivot joint with grease fixed that issue) thanks everyone.
