OMC prop on an Alpha One?

Hey guys,

I have a really nice Michigan Wheel stainless steel prop from an OMC King Cobra, and would like to use on my Merc Alpha One drive. It fits on the shaft splines, but it slides on too far and hits the drive case. My question is, can it be re-hubbed to fit the Alpha properly? I'd rather not use spacers to rig it up. Thanks guys.

Ayuh,... With the proper thrust hub, it should fit, as is...

You have to machine off the front part of it.

A Photo would be nice!

If it is the flange on the hub that fits into the gearcase that is hitting, it can be modified. Go over to the Force forum and see my post on "Various aftermarket propellers" to see how I modified an aluminum Mercury prop to fit a Force. -- You have a different propo but it is the same principle.
