Quick story. Probably will get moved or deleted by a mod and i wouldn't blame him.
Guy across the street calls me can i fix his snowblower don't run.
I said sure bring it over, next day sunday, i get to it, no hunting sunday here.
I put gas in it and sure enough starts right up.
I say to myself, myself this guy never checked to see if he got gas.
So i bring it over to his house running.
He comes out and says what i owe you i said nothing.
I said show me how you start it.
He starts pulling on the handle, the manual starter.
I said what you doin just plug in the ac starter and one touch of the button and it will start what you like to yank your arm out of it's socket.
He says what plug what electric you been drinkin big Al.
I said PATTY i don't drink you know that i got diabetes. Never drank, never will.
He says show me what you mean i said give me a extension and i'll show you plug it in push the button and it starts before the first revolution of the motor.
He says what you install that .
He bought the blower from the guy next door, used 2 years ago, didn't need it last year and it sat.
Now to the point 8 hp mtd tin POS. I had to show him everything on the unit.
Knows nothing. That guy. Come home from shopping with the misses for kids stuff on the stocking list.
Guy dropped under my door a 50 dollar gift card To Friday's, where we don't go any more poor service.

So i'm already in my work cloths, and i pull out my 3 stage sears 50+ year old snowblower that had stuff piled on it so i can start mine up and be ready.
My snowblower is a tank on wheels older than g-d come to think of it was probably on the ark with Noah in my avatar.
Got chains, no belts to drive it, can throw bricks, h block motor, not these garbage new motors made in china.
I hit the ice dam the snowplowers leave at the end of my driveway, and i chuckle to myself as i'm watching my neighbors machines bogging down.
Every year i'm helping them replace belts, paddles, on the new garbage machines.
I had to clean out my carb 5 minutes started right up with the electric start that i did have to install on mine, i can't yank on them small engines like i used to.
Why cause it's old you call my stringer garbage.
Tell you what i don't have no boots to change. One transom seal and thats it.
And that lasted 19 years, bet it's another 20 years before i have to change it out.
I want to see these new merc drives go 22 years.
I like my stringer, i'm keepin my stringer, yea there's a river in Africa called de-nial it don't run thru Jersey.
22 years and still going strong my stringer drive. Going to go another 22 years, if i can get it to.
