omc recomended prop modification

can anybody give me the specs on where and what size holes to drill in the prop for more acceleration. do I drill them in the body or in the fin?<br />Thanks, Ben

Well I have an old prop that I was going to try it on so I would still like to get the specs anyway

Kesner03, this trick will do wonders in most cases if done correctly...I just done this last week to one of our chase boats in Texas and provided the added R's needed for best hole shot.<br /> If you experience blow-out in turns, it's not the holes you just drilled...you have other issues.

Kesner03, the link provided above gives proper location, but start with a 1/8" drill bit, test, and if needed, go 1 step larger and test....sometimes a larger hole will ruin what you are trying to do, so start small.<br /><br />DH, I'm just back with the wife for a few days, moving more stuff to the lone-star state...what a drive...12hrs of black-top.<br />BTW, 37 techs with many 30 yrs.+ at this marina,<br />and best of all...lots a big Johnnys & 'Rudes!!!!
