OMC transom mount removal

I own a 1989 Seaswirl with a 4.3L GMC, and a OMC Cobra outdrive. Recently I struck a underwater object and developed a leak. I've traced it to stripped bolts on the lower transom mount letting the seal leak. My question is -do I have to remove the engine to remove the (exterior) transom mount. I removed the 6 inner bolts, My manual seems to show 2 more studs witch I can't see, Help!! Thanks, Bob

Ayuh,....

The motor Has to come out,....

While it is possible a broken bolt could be the Issue,...
Be prepared to discover that the Transom is Rotten,....The Odds are Much Greater that,..
That is the Problem.....
