It is called Big Easy. I am a beat up, used up 59 years old I need it as easy as possible.Wow! That's such a large and wide ski. I've seen something similar to it. Looks like an aircraft carrier.![]()
I pulled may a skier behind that exact set up back in the early 80s...I have a set of late 60's Thomson "Big Boy Specials" they are almost 11" wide and nearly 8 feet long. you can ski behind a 12' row boat with a 15hp motor
Was yours the fiberglass? They were rated for the 9.9 but dad was always a rebel with horespower on the boats...I had a 12’ Ted Williams for a while with 7.5 and it was fun I’m sure that 15 hp was a real blast.
For what they were they were decent boats.
I bought a big easy thinking I could get up slalom still couldn’t do it… I’m 53 but i could never slalom… two skis, wake board no pro….. just can’t slalomIt is called Big Easy. I am a beat up, used up 59 years old I need it as easy as possible.
give a couple of days riding a knee board , i hadn't skied for 25 years and had a shot , needles to say i had no hope , a couple of days on a knee board and i was skiing in a strait line , ha ha tried cutting but fell every time , no arm strength .Going to attempt to water ski today, last time I tried it did not go well. I am going to try a dock start on the Big Easy, I refuse to ski on 2 skis. I know I don't have the core strength but all a steer can do is try.
Yup! We would do just that ^^ The only issue with them is if you lean forward to much it would go under, then shoot back up right at you! If you weren’t paying attention it could knock your teeth out! That would be a Saucer. Quite common in the 60s

i have a training bar that i could have used any time , but pride is a strange emotion.
The kids and I made one several years ago to monkey around with. They were less than impressed. That would be a Saucer. Quite common in the 60s
