avenger79 I noticed that you are planning to use this shotgun for ducks. The norm for around here is something that shoots 3-1/2 shells since they have to use steel or similar shot. Brownings are making a come back and now it is rumored that the duck commanders are hitched up with Mossberg...so it will be interesting to find out what they come up with for a duck/goose gun.

Personally I like to use different guns for different conditions/game. For ducks/geese/turkey, I like my Remington 1187 with Remchokes and 3 inch shells. For Pheasants, I like my old Winchester 59 because it is light to carry. For trap, I like conventional over/unders that are back bored. For deer, I like Remington 870 in rifled slug or Mossberg in rifled slug. For dove, anything that holds lots of shells.

Younggun -- yeah checked it out online, definitely going to see if I can find one in person. Looks like a great option.

Cofe -- great info. I have never been duck hunting so any info is appreciated. I will look into the Rem 11-87 as well. I already have a Weatherby pump and a Stoeger O/U. Never been one to buy a great shotgun. (except of course the Browning auto) I am disappointed that I got rid of that one. I tend to spend most of my time in the woods chasing deer. Now days I'm thinking of trying new things.

Did some research on the duck commander line of shotguns from Mossberg. Here is a link to a gun that I think will serve your purpose. Heck I would like to get one... Mossberg & Sons | 82038 For the price, I just might put this on my list.

well managed to find a Beretta A300 outlander last night. very nice, I like it, unfortunately no one had it in camo. apparently everyone wants to play Rambo with blacked out guns now days.

also found the Rem 11-87, in camo!! unfortunately a prev customer had jammed up the feed on it somehow and the shop personnel hadn't thought to fix it before another customer got there. So couldn't really look at it. other than to shoulder it which was comfortable.

will try to get a look at the mossy.
