without actually being able to see or touch them, I'd say if the mating surfaces can be easily made flat, and it's not in the brine, probably can be cleaned up and be serviceable for a few years

Opinion? Looks like the elbow mating face of a centre-rise exhaust manifold.

Give it a clean with a sharp wood chisel and a brickies float with fine emery on and show us again.

Looks like you could remove the two bolts and clean or replace them as needed, and the draw file the flat again until straight and smooth. But also with the other surfaces as well. It would take cleaning and flattening before you could tell if it will clean up and work properly...

This manifold that looks like it could be cleaned was dumping water into the stbd side cylinders for a while. took 2 starters to find it.
Took a file to the surface and 3 spots were recessed enough to feel it. Surface showed no file marks. Once the old gasket was removed you could see where the sealing surface was very thin,
oem replacement and everything seems good.

Ayuh,..... A flat file is a Good tool for cleanin', 'n checkin' 'em,....
