ANYTHING is possible if you want it badly enough and are willing to throw cubic money at it!
Seriously though: I think the 92 has different mounting clamps so you will need to plug the holes and re-drill for the 85. I believe that wiring and control cables are the same and the engine should swap right in.
The most difficult part will be lifting the 85 onto the transom but if you have an engine lift OR two men and a boy, you will be OK.
If you have never done it before, figure 1 1/2 hours to remove the old one and the same time to mount the new one. Basically, you need to disconnect the control cables, electrical cable at the engine terminal board, fuel line, steering link, and four mounting bolts.
