Hey,

I'm going to be building an outboard stand so I can do some work on my outboards. Should be simple enough. How tall would you guys recommend? I'll mainly be working on short shaft motors. I don't have a flusher/hose (apartment complex) so I plan to run them when necessary by putting a plastic bin full of water under the motor-- I'll have to make sure it's wide enough, and that the water intake is low enough.

Figured someone would know this off the top of their head. :)

Thanks!

Re: Outboard stand height?

i have used a 50 gallon drum for my motor works, testing and working on, just pull the motor from the water and flip around. that height worked for me comfirtably.. have you thought bout a drum, and cut a hole in the top to drop the lower unit through?
