For a 115 I think i would be using 2 inch square steel stock.That stand in the photo's is to lightweight

Another option is to get an inexpensive automotive engine stand and modify it slightly to hold an outboard.

I have a 150HP Evinrude (w/25" shaft) hanging on one of those Harbor Freight ones right now. It seems to work ok. The angle of the stand is sort of backwards compared to a boat transom, however, it works well to support the motor and makes it easy to work on.

i have had a 140 hang on thread stand. they are quite strong.
