20210507_163900.jpgjust bought a project boat, new to boat restoration. It appears the serial number plate is missing on the outdrive. This is an 1986 bayliner 2750 sunbridge. Penta 5.7 inboard engine. I am assuming they are original. Are there other serial numbers somewhere beneath the housings? Or does anyone know from the pic what model this is. Just wondering which gimble bearings, bellow kit etc..I need. Thanks in advance for helping a newbie.

As captmello said, if original its a AQ280dp or early AQ290dp. You should be able to find a free fsm to download, along with finding the parts diagrams with part numbers. The typical service parts are the driveshaft and exhaust bellows, the water inlet hose and waterneck housing, along with the appropriate seals and sealant. There maybe other things that require servicing but you wont know till you dive into it. You won't have to remove the drive, instead you pull the upper gear box housing. Theres not a "gimble bearing", but a primary driveshaft (pds) and housing on the engine side of the transom, If the bearings are bad in the pds it can be a significant repair, depending on which pds housing you have.

Youll probably want to service the impeller in the raw water pump, which should mounted on the engine.
