I have a SN: list for the old parts, what what would you consider to be the best method for determining the correct replacement part #s for the lees satisfactory parts?
This is the motor in the boat it has has had water in it for at least 3 or 4 years.
I got a similar one to disassemble because It was supposed to be in running condition the "running one" probably only had water in it a few months and only in the intake area from siting outside I guess.
BLOCK RUST EVALUATION
At disassembly I found rust in the intake manifold and #3&4 piston top only not exfoliating, read and dusty no other rust in oil areas. Their is some light flaking in the water path around the cylinders does this sound terminal?
I will start the other motor tonight and make resized photos thanks for reminding me.
