What operating system and browser are you using? That helps a lot when trying to track down problems. I see them, and when you put your cursor over the group (a-c for example) a drop down menu appears. Does that dropdown menu go behind the "Whats going on" section?

Re: Owners Group Problems??

Hey Don, I intended to report that but forgot. It appears to be another IE7 quirk (I'm using it with XP home). The bottom part of the drop down disappears behind the Whats Going On bar. You can see just a sliver of the drop down below that bar. Very similar to what is happening with the Remember Me box amd the Notification drop down.

Just to add, IE7 still crashes going into the marine store.

My IE7 was not working well with this site, I switched to Mozilla Firefox and have had no issues.

This should be fixed now! I have no way of looking at it but it sounds like its a layer stacking issue. So I fixed the layout order. Let me know if this problem still exists.

Re: Owners Group Problems??

I Googled this problem and it's common to everyone using later versions of vbulletin as well as other web development programs. In essence, vbulletin lets the developers do some very nice things but IE7 can't figure out how to use them. Some kluges suggested but I think the Iboats guys are after an elegant soution.

I see the Remember Me box is available, but the guys clearly had to do a work around to get that. Fix it for IE7 and you spoil the look for everybody else. I'm sure of more concern is the inablility of IE7 users to access the marine store.

Ya it is something can be fixed with a little time spent. However until it is fixed, you can still access the forums by clicking the the title. Then a full list of manufacturers will show for you to choose from.

Glad i'm far enough away you can't throw something at me, but that's hidden behind the forum directory below it.

It's hidden too.jpg

One other note, if you click on the A-C Manuf. or any of the other buttons it takes you to http://www.iboats.com/Boat-Parts-Accessories/dm/ instead of a list of forums for that group like it used to.

Re: Owners Group Problems??

Dose not seem to be just IE7, I'm observing the same problem with IE8...
Interesting, I have 8 on my desktop, and the laptop with Windows 7, and no problem on either. Are you on XP or Windows 7?
My XP computer has 7 on it.

My XP computer has 7 on it.

Win 7 32 bit on my laptop.
I'm toying with the idea of throwing IE9 on. Had it on at one point, but it wasn't playing nice with all the websites out there, so I un-installed it.

Well Don, I'm afraid you are going to have to upgrade your browser. I would suggest either Mozilla Firefox, or Google chrome. Both work well, and are MUCH faster than Internet Explorer of any version.
Firefox works and looks a lot like IE7 and you could figure it out very easily. I'm sure you can find a friend somewhere that could help you install it. It's really easy.
The problem is, after days of the iboats IT's trying to make IE7 work with the forums , it just won't work.
Have a look at this link for further information http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=530573

Here is links to the browsers I mentiond. The price is right, FREE.
http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

If you have any problem, just post in this forum, I'm sure you will get plenty of help.

Re: Owners Group Problems??

This should help those trying to get to those groups using IE7
Just click on the button to the alphabetical group you want to look at, it now opens to the complete list of forums in that group instead of boat parts.

Yes exactly.
It opens to a new full window that you can then get to your manuf of choice.
