I was messing around in photoshop today and came up with a paint scheme, wondering what you guys thought of it. I've been planing on doing a gloss white and cherry red theme, but I wanted to see what it would look like. I didnt spend too much time on it, so it's not my greatest photoshop work, but oh well it gets the point across.

Here's the boat currently...

Let me know if you guys like it or think I should change something. (The interior will be white as well, but it looked too much like the hull when it was white so for this image i made it light gray).

Re: Paint Scheme

gloss white reflects the suns glare really bad, you may be happier with the gray. the rest looks fine.

Don't forget that red is the worst color for fading. :(

^^ haha. thank you both, yeah fading could be a problem, but I keep it trailer and in a garage, so it wont spend too much of its life outdoors.

Using Interlux perfection fading will not be a issue. On the bottom of the boat you can use various sizes of tape 1/2-3/4-1-2" to see what sets off the boat's natural lines the best...damm hard to tell much on a comp but in the flesh is always exiciting..:D

Bright color's and red are vibrant...Kool on the water....

Just a opinion your milage will vay.

Thanks TG, from you that means a lot, I love the way your boat came out. I considered doing a black and white theme similar to yours.

I plan to go with white and red also ( photoshopped pic in my Shareaproject link ). Don't forget that you aren't pigeon-holed into straight lines just because the boat has them, you can be creative and color outside the lines ;)

Re: Paint Scheme

Just checked out your shareaproject, looks awesome. I Agree that you don't have to follow the lines, (even though mine does) but your paint scheme looks great with the lines of your trihull.

Re: Paint Scheme

That's one of the reasons I like this thing. Glastron put some nice character lines in the hull instead of just slabbing the sides with fiberglass like the older ones.

Yeah, don't think I haven't thought about buying a trihull (preferably a Glastron like yours). Hopefully for my next restore.
