i was given a 65 hp mercuary on a alunimun 15 ft. boat checked comp was 120lb.on each cylinder it has ben sitting for aprox. 7 years it is firing on all 3 cylinders . put oil in the cylinders spraid gass mixture in the carbs spun it over with the starter . all gass lines have deterated got the carbs off letting them soak in carb cleane .it is a 1974 .i wil replace the waterpump if it runs ok and change the foot oil . is there anything else i should do on this enguin.

Howdy, Papasage.<br /><br />I think you have a good plan.<br /><br />Once you get her running with a new impeller and lower end lube she may ask for something more.<br /><br />Let us know how she does.

A MUST...change the fuel pump diaphrams or you'll have carbs full of little rubber bits......replace inline filter on engine too if it has one...

thanks fellows . where is the best plsce to git parts that napa dont have. like rod berings . have a 85 hp 1974 carb kits. need a linkage that conect the 2 carbs throdle buterflf.
