parts for a Suzuki dt40

I was wondering how to find out the year of my motor. It is a Suzuki DT 40. I have heard that it is the first two numbers of the serial number. If this is true it is a 92 model. Secondly I was wondering where I can find a specific part. Im looking for the piece that the housing for the impellar bolts to. I have sheered off one of the bolts that the housing bolts to. I need to replace that entire piece that covers where the oil and water is puped from. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. <br />David

Are you going to keep the number secret?<br /><br />The way to find out the year is to post the model and serial numbers.

Oh, Sorry. One number is 04003 and 928212. I am looking for part number szz596 if that helps at all.

you have a 1989 model .... you can buy your parts online at brownspoint.com and the part number you posted is totally wrong, go under parts lookup on brownspoint and you will see exactly what you need ... good luck
