For anyone who has the solution on how to replace the fuel sender on my Pathfinder, I'll buy you a case of whatever beer you choose. The problem is not that the fuel sender is located directly under the center console with a handy hatch leading to the fuel tank. The problem is that the fuel sender is just out of reach from being able to be removed from the hatch. I took the Pathfinder, made by Maverick Boats, to my dealer to have a carb job done and asked about replacing the fuel sender because it does not work. The dealer informed me that once installed that it could not be removed without cutting the section of hull directly above the sender, OUCH!!! Not for me. I didn't shell out a years worth of overtime on a boat to go a cut holes in it. Any help on this headache would greatly be appreciated.

pretty bad design flaw there, prolly your only way is to go buy another inspection plate and cut a hole right over the sender and cover the hole with the plate. I've had to do it with a few boats, it sucks but it is what it is.

If only the inspection hatch was 2" bigger it would not be a problem, but now that it has been mentioned, I will try and squeeze my meat hooks in there to see if infact it is a connecion problem. Thanks fellas.
