This is the ultimate redundant topic. I don't know why everyone get themselves so worked up on this Iraq issue,Saddam and his cronies are off the scene,which is a big plus for the Iraqis. America is only doing what all the great powers throughout history have done, and in this case rightly so. It is now America's turn to shape and reshape the rules of the world in which we live,and might i add we are doing it so much better, and in a more compassionate way than the previous powers who just dominated and raped the poorer nations of their resources. This is the new world order, where dictators, tyrants and terrorists will not be cuddled nor tolerated. Mankind will be so much better off in the future because of our actions in Iraq. What a good place to start. some members may not like the what i've said here. I say it the way i see it,i mean to offend none.

Another soldier was killed today in Iraq. Does anyone know the persons name? Its a tragedy. Does Bush even know about it? Where are the weapons of mass destruction? I think I believe O'Neil's statement when he said Bush was adamant after 10 days in office that war was imminent with Iraq, and asked the Pentagon to draft war plans. Doesn't anyone else feel that the last year would have been better spent focused more on Bin Laden, US homeland security, and Al Queda? Sadam and Iraq had its hands tied and wasn't a threat anyway. Sanctions, inspections, no fly zones, you name it...It could have been tightened even more if necessary...He could have been dealt with after OBL not vice versa.

there's absolutely no doubt in my mind.. he was frothin' at the mouth to avenge his daddy.. heck ,i would too.. but i know i would not make a good president.. invading iraq came along alot quicker then i thought ... to quick.. i thought we would clean up the job we already got into an seek an destroy more terrorist groups .. terrorize the terrorist.. ( yeah boy ) before we'd get bogged down in a major conflict.. but seein' he had nukes almost set to go.. an mega piles of bad stuff.. an bein' whipped into a panic/anxiety attack,,lets roll..!! we're bogged down now.. bigtime.. the goal an the good of this is obvious.. we had to take him out someday.. hopefully we/they can carve out a democrocy in the center of the muslum world ..to be a model for all to behold..

I think it is a valid consideration. GW picked Iraq as part of a broad confrontation of this middle eastern problem that, wish as we may, is not going to go away by itself. If I thought it would go away with some kind of impotent "pressure" then I'd be with you on the issue. It is my understanding that we are in fact going after Osama in the covert way. It is a different nut to crack. To get him like we did Saddam, maybe invading Syria, Pakistan, Iran would be required. Maybe the administration is not ready to widen a ground war to that degree. I be willing to bet the south forty that our presence in Iraq and Afghanistan is allowing us to multiply the effort to find Osama, both logistically and diplomatically. Too bad BC didn't apprehend him when he had the chance..it certainly would have been a blow to the enemy.

Kenny, The weapons you speak of have confirmed to be left overs from the Iran Iraq war that had long been forgotten. Also, If O'Neil is so full of BS, why is an inquiry being launched into him leaking "classified" information to the press? The white house is giving the story validity. I think the only thing that is obviously premeditated was Bush's plan to go to war.

OK Toad2001, Then it's Ok to store them leaking Iran-Iraq War era weapons of mass destruction in your back yard, right? And why did Saddam not disclose those weapons as required by U.N. sanctions? It's quite possible that if Saddam had disclosed that information, the war never would have happened! Maybe because he had every intention of using them! Who cares how old they are, just the fact that they are there, when Saddam LIED to the rest of the world, is enough evidence to go to war!!!!!!!!
