The rule is never fill something out you are not sure of....contact the company...and don't fill things out for fun even you may give junk info.They now have a link to your computer...THINK.. what they might be able to do now. I just recently purchased some items from the UK. It seems thats when I get the phony e-mails. Just got another one and turned it in. Sure would be nice to hear if they get cought or not.

I just heard that they did not get caught.<br />Nor will they ever get caught.<br />Unless they are here, stateside, and don't cover their tracks.<br /><br />Most likely "they" are the police in some 3rd world country.

As a rule of thump, legit companies dealing with money/fiscal transactions will not put a link to their website in an email message because of the “fishing” scams like the one in this thread. They will tell you to contact them by going to their website and following the links for customer service, or to call them.<br /><br />Consumer Reports recently published the estimated loss of money to fishing (that’s what it is called, the sender is ‘fishing’ for someone to post the info needed to access the recipient’s money) at close to $2-billion for 2004-2005. It is the leading problem with computers, exceeding the monetary damages of computer viruses and worms, and all other scams.
