Did y'all overlook the fact that the factory sells electronic ignition kits to eliminate points in the older Cobra stern drives? <br /><br />The kit also includes the new style ESA module that eliminates one of the shift switches.<br /><br />The ignition system takes the place of the points plate and it takes only a few minutes to install.

yup, Seahorse and it costs double to triple what the Pertronix and CDI module do and they install with just a plug in and no rewire to eliminate the overstroke switch.
