Re: Phoenix Race

Just started watching. Sounds like Kenseth is having a bad day. Saw a caution when Harvick was waaaaay ahead of everyone but Jo0hnson... The announcers didn't say what it was for, they got quiet. Ya think maybe DEBRIS? Been doing "chores" around here before the highs go to the 20's tomorrow.... Winterizing mowers, changing oil in the plow truck and getting the sleds out....

It's Jimmy's to lose. As long as he stays out of trouble, he'll get #6.............

Re: Phoenix Race

If he get 20 points next week, it's his no matter what anyone else does. I did the math myself - so it might be a couple of points off.

Re: Phoenix Race

I gave up on it early...maybe it is just me not liking the 48 team :D

I wonder how many other "true" Nascar fans out there are about to give up on this sport. I have been a fan for a looooong time and it is just not the same as it used to be. Back not to long ago it seemed as if any one of 15 or 20 drivers could win any race anytime. Now...barring any large wrecks...there are only about a half dozen teams that can win. I know...I know...the best teams with the most money wins. However...Nascar has made rule changes that are supposed to make the playing field MORE Equal...it does not seem to be working.

Re: Phoenix Race

The teams have to get better at making the cars handle better to keep things closer together, once again the ones with the most money usually have the best luck in that department. I will have to say they tried to wreck JJ several times and he hung onto it somehow. Lucky I guess.

Re: Phoenix Race

I was there yesterday. I tell you Phoenix is a great place to watch a race. We have sat on the Hill two years in a row, and it is fantastic. Great weather didn't hurt that's for sure. Bummed about Kenseth, but was happy for Harvick. The Jimmy issue on lap one happened coming right at us. Fun day, but Jimmy needed a visit with the wall to make Homestead more exciting.

Re: Phoenix Race

It's too bad the gap isn't smaller. Like when Tony won the championship over Carl - Tied after the Homestead race and took the prize using using the tiebreaker. The one category Edwards wasn't leading was wins and that's the first tiebreaker.

Yeah, so now we are left hoping Jimmy hits the wall again. Hey I'd take a simple valve spring failure
