Heat is fine. Take a scrap of vinyl and heat it tell it fails. You don't want to cook it just good and warm. Its hard for me to help with wrinkles with out seeing them. Do you put 1/8 foam under your vinyl? Foam headliner works to. Also I I steam the foam under which makes it return to its original size. Ill explain more in a bit its hard to type on my phone lol

ok... send me a picture of the wrinkles. its hard to give a general answer but i glue foam to the back of most vinyl. it holds shape better and helps make the seats smoother. i think if you want we should do a seat. i dont have any boats to do right now so some times you might get an auto seat photo or a chair cushion but its the same. so post a picture.....remember you are always learning so maybe you will have a trick i have never seen. also dont be embarrassed of your work this is not as easy as people think. i have been learning for almost twenty years. i also do body and paint. above all start looking at boats and think how they did the seat and take your time. i want to show you the basics of patterning.....thats how stuff gets less wrinkles :) jim

Ok Jimmy right on looks real good, so is it the same process with vinyl , you sew on the thin layer of foam first before sewing stuff together
